You’re almost there!

Congratulations!  Duke has a lot planned for you and your guests during Commencement Weekend. If you have already applied to graduate with your school or department, here are some of the next steps you should take:

Plan your weekend

Check out Plan Your Weekend for ideas on what to do when your family and guests arrive.

Know where to get your diploma

Find your school or department and check out what events they are hosting throughout the weekend.

RSVP for Commencement & Order Apparel

The apparel order deadline for students is March 1, 2024. If you are a doctoral student that intends to purchase your apparel, the deadline to purchase is February 16, 2024 and can be done so by contacting Jeffrey Kahlmeyer in Duke Stores at 919-684-0060.

Complete this form to register for the university-wide commencement ceremony and order your academic regalia.  Graduates will be required to register their guests.  We will provide additional instructions in the coming weeks about this process.

Sunday, May 5 CLOSED
Monday, May 6 – Saturday, May 11 9 AM – 5 PM

You may arrange for someone else to pick up your apparel, but they must have your payment and know your sizes. Payment for all apparel must be made when it is picked up from the Bryan Center (Brown Art Gallery). Credit cards, FLEX cards, cash and personal checks are accepted.

Student Registration for Baccalaureate

Graduates will have an opportunity to register for one baccalaureate service. Please note, there will be limited seating available in the Chapel for guests.  Additionally, the services will be simulcast on a large video screen in Page Auditorium.  Guests may also view the services live on the Commencement website homepage or on the Duke Chapel YouTube channel. Guest tickets will not be required for the Chapel and Page Auditorium viewing locations.  In the coming weeks, graduates will receive information on how to register for a baccalaureate service.

Pick Up your Class Gift

The Duke Alumni Association will distribute class gifts during the Forever Duke Kickoff event. 

Know Where To Be on Commencement Day

All degree candidates should report to the processional line-up located In Pascal Field House no later than 8:15 AM.
More detailed instructions will be emailed at a later date in the Spring.
