Faculty Information

Apparel

Please complete this online form by Friday, March 27, to register for commencement and order complimentary attire.

Apparel may be picked up from the Bryan Center (Brown Art Gallery, upper level) April 27 through May 2 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m and May 4 through 9 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. You may also get your apparel between 8 - 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, in the Crowe Lobby, American Tobacco Campus. The Crowe Lobby is near Saladelia Cafe and the offices in American Underground.

If you are unable to pick up your own apparel, please be sure the person picking it up for you knows your height, highest degree, and the university from which your highest degree was obtained.

Processional Instructions

Faculty and administrators participating in the academic procession of the commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 10, should assemble in the Crowe Lobby on the American Tobacco Campus no later than 9 a.m.  There will be signs for the faculties of Arts and Sciences, the professional schools, and the academic administration. The faculty will march in a double column with one Faculty Marshal leading each school. When the candidates for degrees have taken their places, the faculty will march onto the field and then to seats on either side of the platform.

Men should remove their caps at the beginning of the ceremony for the singing of the National Anthem.

The program should conclude by 11 a.m., and faculty are encouraged to attend the ceremonies and receptions hosted by their departments. Please see below for more information.

Diploma Ceremonies

Many departments host diploma ceremonies and receptions following the university-wide commencement ceremony. Click here for a list of ceremony times and locations. Faculty presence at these events is expected and appreciated by the graduates and their families.

Reserved Parking

Faculty and administrators participating in the commencement ceremony will have reserved parking in the DPAC Ground Lot, which can be accessed from both South Mangum Street and Blackwell Street.
