Commencement Events
As a member of the faculty, your presence at the commencement ceremony and departmental ceremonies is expected and appreciated by the graduates and their families.
Apparel
You may wear the academic apparel from your alma mater or rent complimentary apparel through Duke. The deadline to request apparel is April 4, 2025.
Processional Instructions
Faculty and administrators are invited to participate in the academic procession of the commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 11.
Diploma Ceremonies
Many departments host diploma ceremonies and receptions following the university-wide commencement ceremony.
