Student Speaker Application
All September and December 2016 graduates and/or May 2017 degree candidates are invited to submit a speech that, if chosen, will be given at the commencement ceremony. All speeches must be submitted by 5 p.m. on March 21. If selected as a finalist, you will be notified by March 29.
The selection committee will first review all anonymous submissions and narrow it down to several finalists. Finalists will be asked to deliver their speeches to the selection committee at a later date.
Student Selection Committee Application
All September and December 2016 graduates and/or May 2017 degree candidates are invited to serve on the selection committee to elect the student speaker. The selection committee includes students, faculty and staff. Factors such as campus involvement, school and reason for wanting to serve determine an applicant's selection for the committee.
Complete the application by 5 p.m. on March 3 to apply for the selection committee. If selected to serve on the committee, you will be notified by March 8.
