Dear Members of the Class of 2025
(including September and December 2024 graduates):
We are thrilled to invite you to participate in Duke’s 2025 Commencement Weekend, which will take place Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11, with a university-wide ceremony on Sunday, May 11 in Wallace Wade Stadium. Please visit commencement.duke.edu to learn more about the ceremony and the other events Duke has planned for you and your guests.
If you have applied for graduation with your school or department and wish to participate in Commencement Weekend, please see below for important information, deadlines and events:
- RSVP for Commencement & order academic regalia by March 3; if you are a doctoral student who intends to purchase your apparel, the deadline is February 14.
- Your guests will be required to have a ticket to enter the university-wide commencement ceremony at Wallace Wade Stadium. Only students may register for tickets for their guests. Registration for guest tickets will open on April 9.
- Graduating students are invited to attend one of two baccalaureate services scheduled on Friday, May 9. Registration for baccalaureate will also open on April 9.
- Check out the Grad Fair hosted by Duke Stores from Wednesday, March 5 through Thursday, March 6 for discounts and early apparel pickup. Robes for students earning undergraduate and master’s degrees will be navy blue this year, in honor of Duke’s Centennial celebration!
- Visit the Commencement website often for updates about departmental ceremonies, day-of instructions and other important information. Also, be sure to use the Pre-Commencement Checklist for everything you need to do to prepare for the weekend.
