Dear Members of the Class of 2023
(including September and December 2022 graduates):

We are thrilled to invite you to participate in Duke’s 2023 Commencement Weekend, which will take place Friday, May 12 through Sunday, May 14, with a university-wide ceremony on Sunday, May 14 in Wallace Wade Stadium.   Please visit commencement.duke.edu to learn more about the ceremony and the other events Duke has planned for you and your guests.

If you have applied for graduation with your school or department and wish to participate in Commencement Weekend, see below for important deadlines and events:

  • RSVP for Commencement & order academic regalia by March 1; if you are a doctoral student that intends to purchase your apparel, the deadline is February 15.
  • Check out the Grad Fair at The Landing in the Bryan Center from February 21-23 for discounts and early apparel pickup.
  • Schedule your appointment for your senior portrait for the 2023 Chanticleer Yearbook.  More information can be found here.
  • Visit the website often for updates about departmental ceremonies, day-of instructions and more.  Be sure to check out the Pre-Commencement Checklist for everything you need to do to prepare for the weekend.
